Equippers Church – Church At Home

(17/03/20) As Equippers Church UK, we want to ensure we are taking care of our church family as best we can.

Therefore, in light of the latest government advice on reducing social contact and gatherings, we are changing the way we meet as a church for the foreseeable future. We want you to know that church is not cancelled, we are just changing the way we do it! Instead of gathering together in person, this Sunday we will launch Church At Home!

We are believing that these changes will not hinder us, but will be a way of pushing us even further forward into our mission as a church.

From this Sunday, until further notice, we will not be holding public gatherings at our different church locations.
Instead, we will be streaming our church services at 10:30am and 5pm for all our locations. We encourage you to join us online at 10:30am for praise and worship, followed by an inspiring and uplifting message!
And at 5pm, we are excited to announce that Ps Peter Prothero will be kicking off an awesome 4 week series unpacking the Eight Names of God.

Connect Groups:
For this week only, we have made the decision to postpone all Connect Groups. However, next week we will launch an exciting new way for you to stay connected as a Connect Group during this season of church life!

Equippers Church is built upon the generosity of many and we are grateful for every person who continues to build God’s kingdom with us. If you would like to give your tithes and offerings online or set up regular giving with a standing order, please click here and select your location.

Equippers Kids has some exciting plans so that your kids don’t miss out! They will be able to take part in their very own Sunday session which will include an interactive video teaching, and the opportunity to take part in some fun and exciting crafts! There will also be some downloadable activities for you and your kids to do together.

Government Guidance and Health Recommendations

(12/03/20) We are sure you are aware of the growing Coronavirus concern. As a church, we will continue monitoring the evolving situation of Coronavirus, as we want to care as best we can for the church family, in line with Public Health England’s guidance.

Prayer and Fasting

We have made a decision to invite our church family to join us in 7 days of prayer and fasting, starting Sunday 15th March, for ourselves, our families, our church and nation. Below are some helpful things to pray and declare daily, or as often as you need to:

  1. Declare the Lordship of Jesus over your life and that He is your help and refuge during this time of crisis and uncertainty. Read and pray out of Psalm 91 and 46.
  2. Refuse to give into fear. For example, using Psalms 118:6-7, we can boldly say: “The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. I refuse to fear”.
  3. With the power that we have been given by the blood of Jesus, pray protection over yourselves, your family, Equippers and our nation:
  • Declare that you reject and repel any virus that tries to attack your body

  • Declare God’s promises with faith. For example, in Psalm 91 it says that He will protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with protection

  • Take communion in your home and in your Connect Groups during these 7 days


Caring For Your Physical Health

We also encourage you to prioritise looking after your physical health by eating healthily and sleeping well. These things are very important for our immune systems. Have a look at the helpful Video by Dr Lavanya Dua.
