Lisa Coleman
I play many different roles in life but being Mum to Gracie, Cory and Jude is the best one of them all. Robin and I have been married for 20 years and our incredibly active kids keep us constantly entertained - and the house wonderfully noisy! Heading up connection at Equippers has been the best job I have ever had. Life is good.

Day Three
Who Am I Believing For?

'And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.' Galatians 6:9

For me, the hardest part of exercising is actually getting out there. Once my trainers are on and I’m running, or my tyres are pumped up and I’m on my bike, I’m raring to go. I always try to push it a little bit further and come back with a great sense of achievement. So why do I find it so difficult to be motivated even when I know it's good for me? Scripture tells us that we’re not to get tired of doing what's good! That means we mustn’t talk ourselves out of things that are ultimately good for us; we are to keep going!

My heart aches for the people that I love, who don’t know our good Father. I long for them to accept an invitation to a church event, for an opportunity to pray or to tell them about what God does in my life, but when it doesn’t happen I can get discouraged. I then have a choice to make - give up trying to tell my friends about God or keep believing for them. I have to remind myself that what I want to tell them is good news and I must keep going. Encouragement comes when a friend calls me for advice, thanks me for being there at just the right time, or comes along to church. I am drawing on heaven’s riches and trusting that if I don’t lose heart, in due season I will reap and heaven will rejoice.

Who has God put on your heart to keep reaching out to? Ask Him to help you not be weary doing good. Be encouraged and keep going!
