Accounts Assistant

 

Hours: 1 day per week (either Thursday or Friday)

Salary: £17,745 pro rata

Reports to: Finance Manager

Position type: Permanent

Purpose of role: Provide support to Finance Manager to ensure smooth operation of the Finance function across Equippers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Weekly banking of all cash/cheques.
  • Ensure all income is accurately recorded in Quickbooks.
  • Ensure all bills are accurately recorded in Quickbooks.
  • Process payments.
  • Process Gift Aid repayment claims and be proactive in obtaining Gift Aid declarations where applicable.
  • Assist in preparation of reports for Management Team.
  • Keep donors to Impact Offering updated on their pledges.
  • Ensure adequate records are kept and filed each week.
  • Deal with incoming queries in a polite and prompt manner.
  • Ensure Equippers Finance Policy and Procedures are adhered to across the charity.

EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience in a similar role essential.
  • Experience of the charity accounting sector essential.

 

KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of Quickbooks or similar cloud-based accounting package essential.
  • Knowledge of ChurchSuite or similar database desirable.
  • Must be educated to university level.
